Giddee Up....Giddee Up....Giddee Up!!!

Have any of you ever heard of the Jackson_Swap_Shop? It's this online yahoo group and you can buy, sell or trade things. We have made a few purchases already. Among them being a Step2 Pool with a slide, a Little Tykes Picnic Table and our most recent was this....
It is a spring horse. These sell for well over $100, and we bought it in excellent condition for $20!!!!!!! Isn't that amazing!
Jalyn was quite happy about this new toy, as you can imagine. Although she was pretty hesitant to get on it at first.
Instead, she decided to pet it and give it a kiss.

But after that, she warmed right up. (Go figure, she'll easily jump onto a real live pony, but when it comes to plastic she's not so sure.)

Now she absolutely loves it and wants to sit on it all the time. I believe the $20 was well spent on our spoiled little girl. :-)

George's Most Recent Photo Shoot

This poor guy...we dress him up like a little girl and then he just sits there and looks at us like, "What are you guys doing to me??"
Poor George. :)

More pics with the New Mexico clan...

Here are some more pictures from this past week with Liz, Ryan and Ethan. We had a lot of fun with them and will miss them until we see them again. It's always sad to say goodbye, especially when we don't know when we will see each other again.

Jalyn and Ethan enjoyed playing in Jalyn's bed pretending to be sleeping. It was so cute, Ethan would close his eyes and snore. This is Jalyn's new trick...doing the splitz. Here are Ryan and Jerry playing Guitar Hero.
Thanks for visiting us guys! We had a great time and look forward to doing it again! Love you!

Our Wild West Adventure...

Jerry's sister, Liz from New Mexico, is visiting with us this week and today we went to Webberville to the Norfolk Horse Farm for a Wild West Adventure. They had been advertising it on tv, and whenever the commercial came on, Jalyn would always scream, "Horsie!!!!" And then Lori asked if we wanted to go, so we did and I am so glad that we did! The kids had soooo much fun and Jalyn got to ride her first pony ever.
Here is Ethan on his 1st pony ride too. They had an archery section and Jalyn wanted to do it. I was so stinkin' proud of her and it was soooooo cute to see her try and do it. They had a little train ride for the kids. Ethan was the only one that didn't chicken out. Luckily I got a picture of all 3 of them in it before Jalyn and Tommy freaked out.
They had an Alamo section and there was this little building that we went into not knowing exactly what it was. Well, it was like a maze with 12 or 13 walls back to back with just enough room for an average sized person to walk through. Not to mention that it had to have been 30 degrees warmer in there and so humid that you could hardly breathe. Well as you get further and further into in, it becomes darker and darker and the kids were becoming more and more weary of what was going on. By the end of it, they were freaking out and Jalyn had attached herself to Liz's leg and Ethan wouldn't budge a step further. I got this picture not being able to see a thing in the dark. Their faces say it all.I got to ride a horse as well and it made me feel like I was a little kid again. I didn't want to get off. I thought this picture of Tommy and Jalyn was so cute. Especially with Tommy's cowboy hat and boots. The day was a complete success. No melt downs, no bad weather, and no energy left to spend. They were sound asleep for the ride home. I would definitely recommend going with your kids and I am definitely planning on doing it again next year!

And the thunder rolls....

These are pictures that I got of the sky last night as the storm was coming on.
It didn't last very long. Maybe 5-10 minutes at the most. Rained hard, thundered a little and some lightning. Not too bad. Luckily nothing like what the Lansing area got or other surrounding areas. It was neat watching it come closer and closer.
