Christmas morning...

Here are some pictures I got of Jalyn on Christmas morning opening her presents.I'm pretty sure she had a good Christmas. Below is a picture I got of her this morning on her pony. I laughed so hard! She is too silly.

She loves that bike helmet. She'll put that on herself and just walk around with it. It's so funny!

I'm back....for the moment....

I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I just haven't really had anything to post or even the motivation to do so. We had our Christmas party for my side of the family on Thursday night, so I thought I'd post some pictures from that. Duke.Jimmy.Me. :)

Jalyn got this pretty little thing from Mamo and Papa and she absolutely loves it!!!!! Look at her go! She's got the whole basement to play with this car! :)

Thanks Mom and Dad for a great Christmas! It was a lot of fun!

Kisses, kisses and more kisses...

Jalyn is the biggest sweetheart I know. Yeah, she has her terrible 2 moments, but for the most part, she is such a lover! I love these pictures of her smooching on her toys.

I've been wanting to get a rocking chair for her and Jerry just informed a little bit ago that he had a rocking chair when he was little and his dad still had it. Soooooo... he brought that home last night and Jalyn absolutely loves it! Here are some pictures of her sitting in it for the first time.

Even though it's just right for her size, she's still a little hesitant to get in and out of it by herself because it moves when she tries. So for now we help her, but it's so stinkin' cute when she's in it. She likes to rock her baby dolls.

Man, I can just feel the cold going through my bones when I look at this picture. It makes me shiver. I feel cold today. I just want to cuddle up in a nice warm blanket, drink some hot chocolate and be lazy today. Does anyone else feel that way too?

Christmas picture time!!!!

Well, it's that time of year again....the time to send Christmas cards. I wanted to try and take a cute picture of Jalyn myself for the Christmas cards like I did last year. She doesn't do too well going to get her picture taken because it's intimidating and scary for her. She always cries now. So....the other day I got her all dressed up and here are the best of the pictures I took. I need help deciding which one to put in my Christmas cards. I'll number the ones I'm trying to decide on. Let me know what you think!

Baby, it's cold outside!!!

The 1st real snowfall of the year (where it actually covered the ground) happened today and Jalyn and I didn't waste anytime at all to get out there and take some pictures.
I hope everyone is keeping warm wherever you are!

Here are 7 random things about myself:

1. I am not a morning person AT ALL. It takes me at least 4 hours to wake up. :)

2. My world is just not right unless I wash my face and brush my teeth before I go to bed. I have to do those things or I won't be able to fall asleep. Crazy, huh?

3. I've always wanted to go skydiving so I could feel what it's like to fly, but if I actually had the opportunity, I think I would probably chicken out.

4. I'm terrified of tornadoes. When I was little I would cry if there were even a cloud in the sky and now if the wind blows just a little too hard, my first thought is TORNADO!!! It's a serious problem, I know.

5. What's even worse is that I think I would rather be in a tornado than have a spider on me. Spiders are my #1 fear by far. I HATE them. I don't understand why God had to make them so creepy and crawly and disgusting. It makes me want to cry just thinking about a spider crawling on me. (Because I've thought about it now, there's no doubt that I'm going to have an awful spider nightmare tonight.)

6. If I could relive one thing and one thing only from my past, it would without a doubt be our family vacation to Cozumel, Mexico. That was our last vacation as a whole entire family and before any of us were married or anything. It was the BEST vacation EVER!

7. I love the smell of coffee. I could smell it all day long but would never drink it. I hate the taste.

Just loungin' around...

Today, I had a meeting with my old boss from my anesthesia billing job from 4 years ago. I'm going to be going back to work and that is really the only place I want to work at. I loved my job and probably would've still been there all this time if it hadn't been for the long, tiring drive to Ypsilanti. Yet, here I am wanting to do the drive all over again just so I can work there. Well, it's not really the drive I want to do, but it kinda goes with the job unfortunately. So...we talked, and as soon as they have a job opening, I am going back to work! I can't believe it. I never thought I would want to go back to work, but I do. I think in some sort of way, it will keep me sane. Does that make sense??

Jerry and I have found a daycare for Jalyn that we feel comfortable with and I'm very excited for her so she can have that interaction with other kids. I'm also hoping that it will influence her eating habits in a positive way. We have had such a struggle with her to eat and I think maybe seeing other kids eat on a daily basis, her appetite will grow and her behavior toward food will change in a good way. We'll see I guess!

So, for the time being, it's loungin' around that we'll be doing. :) That will not be a problem for either one of us. Jalyn has already perfected her lounging positions as you can see in the pictures.

I am going to try and take advantage of every day and every moment that I have with my baby, because the day she goes to daycare, she will officially be a "big girl"!!!

At least I've accomplished something...

Okay, so just tell me the truth....how pathetic is it that my one big accomplishment for the day was giving Jalyn her long needed bath!?! I have been soooo tired the past couple of days. I think Jalyn passed on her cold to me and my body is fighting it very hard. The house is a mess. I need to wash my dishes. It's 4pm and I still don't have a clue what to make for dinner because I don't want to think about it. Please tell me this will pass. Please tell me that one day soon something will change and I will magically want to do all of these things that have to be done.

I did however have something interesting happen today. I went out in the garage (and remember the garage is completely open to the outside because it's still not finished) to get a can of pop and I heard a startling noise among the pile of junk we have out there. So when I looked to see what it could be, I found this:

A family of cats!!!! It looks like a mama cat, a daddy cat and 2 baby kittens.

This little guy below was the shy one of the bunch and was hiding under the car. Incredibly adorable though. Looks just like my old cat, Fluffy. I took Jalyn out there to see them and of course she loved it! She was mad at me when I took her back in the house. I wish I could bring one of them in, but I'm afraid my dogs would not like that very much!

So tell me, how was your day? I'm sure much more productive then mine.

My baby is sick...

Well, Jalyn is sick yet again. Poor thing. The doctor says she has croup. Nice, huh? I just feel bad because I can't really do anything for her except try and comfort her. She just acts likes she's miserable. Although, this morning I did catch her in a particularly good mood and was able to catch these cute little pictures of her.
Hopefully she will be back to her old self again soon, so I can see this smiling face more! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

TRICK OR TREAT...

We went to Williamston last night to go trick or treating with Jerry's cousin Lori and her husband Lyle and their two boys Tommy and Tyler.

Afterwards, we hung out at Lori and Lyle's friends house for awhile.

It was a great night and Jalyn was definitely worn out from all the fun. She had no problem going to bed last night! : )
